KKS tags: the unglamorous system that saves hours on a trip

KKS (Kraftwerk-Kennzeichen-System) is a German power-plant identification standard. In practice it is a unique name for every piece of kit: what it does, where it lives, which system it belongs to.
A code is not decoration
A tag such as AA10AP001 is not random. System, section, equipment type, sequence number. When that language is on the device, in the schematic, and in SCADA, a night-shift tech can find the pump without calling the person who “just knows.”
